【Case Study of Electric Mobility Base Unit】Golf Ball Collector

A case where Dainichi Koki Co., Ltd. utilized an electric cart for a remote-controlled golf ball collector! Improved work efficiency by collecting balls during operations.

Dainichi Koki Co., Ltd. manufactures and sells golf ball collection machines that significantly reduce the labor involved in ball collection tasks. Typically, at driving ranges, balls are collected manually after closing and before opening. During business hours, it is difficult for people to work due to the balls flying around, leading to the challenge of "how to improve work efficiency by conducting ball collection during business hours." To address this, we utilized Suzuki's electric mobility base unit, which is equipped with ball protection, and by towing the ball collection machine with remote control, we have made it possible to safely and efficiently collect balls even during business hours. Additionally, it can collect balls even in the presence of minor puddles. **Features of Suzuki's Electric Mobility Base Unit:** - Capable of traveling at 6 km/h - Independent motors for left and right rear wheels - Suspension on the front, rear, left, and right - Power steering for front wheel steering ▼ Demo consultations available! Case Study of Multi-Purpose Electric Cart 'MITRA': Telescopic Pole Type Mobility

Case study of MITRA utilization by PicoCELA and KiQ Robotics! "Height x Movement" eliminates communication blind spots and stabilizes communication quality.

We would like to introduce a case study of a "mobile base station" that combines wireless mesh technology, telescopic poles, and the multipurpose electric cart 'MITRA,' in collaboration with PicoCELA Corporation, KiQ Robotics Corporation, and Suzuki, in Nōgata City, Fukuoka Prefecture. In outdoor events and construction sites, physical factors such as obstructions from vegetation and temporary facilities, changes in areas where people gather, and the challenges of permanent construction have led to temporary declines in communication quality. Through this demonstration, we quantitatively confirmed the impact of different installation heights on communication quality. At a height of 4 meters for the telescopic pole, improvements in communication performance were particularly notable in environments with greater distances, demonstrating its effectiveness as a wide-area communication method in event venues and outdoor spaces. In the future, we anticipate deployment in various fields such as high-altitude communication at construction sites, wide-area coverage in agricultural land, and temporary communication during disasters. 【Features】 ■ By increasing height, obstructions are avoided, improving connection status. ■ By placing mobility in areas where people gather, flexible communication coverage is achieved. ▼ Numerous case studies are currently available on the special website!
